Summit County was established in 1861 and is now the 19th most populous county in Colorado. It is located high in the Rocky Mountains and has several Colorado ski resorts and areas designed to capitalize on this fortunate fact. These trails along with several bicycle routes make it possible for the residents of Summit County to remain active. It is a great place to get in shape and there are always plenty of options to stay fit. In the summer a resident has the capability to bike, run, or jog on several of the trails and routes.
