By 1910 there were 16 dwellings on Hilltop and the city of Denver has started a beatification plan throughout Denver neighborhoods but specifically in Hilltop where Inspiration Park, now known as Cranmer Park were planned and developed. This added amenity to the Denver real estate of Hilltop brought more residents who made plans to build their Denver homes in the Hilltop area. Cranmer Park was named after the man who built his house at the highest most point of Hilltop, a huge beautiful Mediterranean Renaissance home which remains there to this day.

By the late 1920's Hilltop became one of the most thriving Denver neighborhoods. City water was piped to the community and this section of Denver real estate saw an upsurge of competing builders and an increase of residents building their Denver homes on top of this fabulous hill. The University of Colorado's Medical School moved into the Hilltop neighborhood in the mid 1920's and soon Doctors and Professors began setting up their Denver homes on the hill and more and more and Hilltop became known as Pill Hill. All this activity bolstered the local economy and Hilltop became one of the most economically successful Denver neighborhoods.
