Golden Triangle Real Estate

One of the most important and historical Denver neighborhoods is the Golden Triangle neighborhood. The Golden Triangle Denver real estate area is of the utmost importance to the Denver Metropolitan area, because of its many civic and cultural institutions. Golden Triangle is less of an actual physical neighborhood as it is a neighborhood created in the minds of its residents and visitors. It is not one of the statistical Denver neighborhoods and the Denver homes within the area could be considered to be roughly within the same boundaries of another of Denver neighborhoods, called Civic Center. Golden Triangle residents consider all of Civic Center Park and its institutions to be part and parcel of the neighborhood with the exception of the state Capitol which is considered to be Denver real estate located in the State Capitol neighborhood.

Golden Triangle is one of the oldest of Denver neighborhoods with many of its single family Victorian residences being constructed in the late 19th and early 20th century. In the early 20th century Golden Triangle became the home of many civic institutions and a neoclassical park was built at the north end of the neighborhood. After the Second World War, many of the historic houses were razed as the Golden Triangle area became a business support area for Denver's central business district. These reverent Denver homes were turned into parking lots, car dealerships and supply stores. The face of this Denver real estate was changed drastically and much of its charm was sacrificed for utility.

In the 1990's the Golden Triangle went through another metamorphosis. This, one of the more vibrant Denver neighborhoods became transformed into one of the most creative multi-use piece of Denver real estate in the city. New condominiums and other styles of Denver homes began to pop up while many of the old shops became hip restaurants and art galleries. The charm of the neighborhood began to come back and development seemed to be working for the good of Denver real estate and Denver neighborhoods.

Today, Golden Triangle is still undergoing transformations in its quest to find a definition as one of the more affluent and exciting Denver neighborhoods. This section of Denver real estate is becoming more and more desirable to investors as well as, those interested in setting up their Denver homes here. In addition to the residential build up, the Golden Triangle is increasing its cultural portfolio as well. In 2006, the already fervent art community was bolstered even more by the opening of the Denver Art Museum's new wing.
