Curtis Park Real Estate

Curtis Park has deep historical roots in Denver real estate and Denver homes. Established in the 1860 and 1870's as one of the earliest Denver neighborhoods, Curtis Park was built with the idea of being a fashionable suburb of Denver for people weary of living in the city. Early Denver residents developed their Denver homes into a quaint and charming enclave with a wide variety of home styles which have survived and passed through the ages into what is now a collection of duplexes, Victorian mansions and Queen Anne style homes complete with second story porches. Curtis Park consists of three historic districts, Clements, San Rafael and Glenarm Place. It is considered one of the most historic Denver neighborhoods.

As happened in many urban settings in the 1960's and 1970's, Curtis Park gained the dubious distinction of being one of the less desirable of Denver neighborhoods with it dilapidated Denver homes and mean streets. A good many of the residents bailed out on their Denver real estate and moved elsewhere mainly to some of the other Denver neighborhoods. Then Denver began a resurgence and slowly Curtis Park came along with it. The neighborhood was ripe for revitalization with its diverse mix of residents socially and economically. It's proximity to Denver made it a great place for workers to have their Denver homes and still be close to the city. Curtis Park is one of the only Denver neighborhoods that can boast a mere 15 minute walk into town, or very fast and convenient light rail train ride.

This charming neighborhood is characterized by its pretty tree lined streets, and diverse housing types. Indeed, Curtis Park offers very unique Denver real estate offerings as one of the more eclectic of Denver neighborhoods. There are both large and small homes dotting the tree lined streets. Those large Victorians and Queen Annes have been renovated into the architectural marvels they once were. And, you can still find the venerable Denver Squares that have become such a stalwart of Denver homes.

Because of its diversity in housing offerings, social and economic diversity of its residents and proximity to Denver proper, it's no wonder of all the Denver neighborhoods, Curtis Park is holding its own in terms of attracting new residents as well as, Denver real estate investors. These Denver homes offer so much in terms of value and choices and it is really just a factor of figuring out what style of home you want and where you would like to be located. A drive through Denver neighborhoods as a comparison will clue anyone into the unique offering Curtis Park gives to Denver real estate.
