Sitting right in the middle of some of Denver's most traveled roads is one of its best neighborhoods. Berkeley is located in the north part of the city and has been recognized as one of the area's fastest-growing spots for families. Home to some of the newest Denver homes, the Berkeley neighborhood is situated in the area where the old Elitch Gardens was formerly located before its move.
Berkeley didn't do well in the time immediately following the Elitch Gardens move to downtown, but it has since seen quite a resurgence. A vibrant revitalization project has helped the area, along with much of Denver real estate, become a center for new homes. Commerce has come on popular Tennyson Street in the heart of the Berkeley area. These days, you can find lively art, new restaurants, and a host of other cultural business spots.
As the residents of Berkeley will tell you, there is always something to do. Included in that are a host of outdoor recreational activities. The Berkeley Lake Park is quite popular, along with a nice golf course and two other lakes. With Regis University being close by, the area has a nice infusion of youth. To top it all off, the area is relatively close to Denver's downtown area and isn't much of a hike to the city's major airport, either.
