Aurora Real Estate

Aurora belongs to what has always been considered as one of the larger suburban communities in Denver. As a matter of fact, with a population that is now more than half that of the metropolis, Aurora residents are fighting for recognition that should equal Denver's. The city is number three on the list of most populous Colorado cities and overall it is 59th among the most heavily populated American cities. As a Home Rule locality it has the right to enact and amend local regulations, including its very own charter, without the intervention of the State. This makes Aurora real estate attractive to many home buyers.

Aurora Colorado Homes

Aurora real estate zones are divided among Adams County, Arapahoe County and a very small part of Douglas County. The city itself may not be as popular as its neighbors when it comes to fun activities, but if you talk about history, then Aurora has occupied a place in the country's chronicles. First was in 1955, when US President Dwight D. Eisenhower was confined in the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center after a heart attack. And then, in 2004, the city – and the same hospital - was back in the limelight when local born John Kerry ran for the US presidency.

Benefits of investing in Aurora Real Estate

But that's not all, investing in Aurora real estate gives you a chance to live in a city that has been honored as a Sports town by no less than Sports Illustrated. The recognition puts a spotlight on Aurora's admirable dedication to the enhancement and promotion of sports. And this owes to the fact that this part of Colorado is home to a wide assortment of professional athletes. Apart from several districts and neighborhoods, the city is also host to military facilities like Buckley Air Force Base and the former Lowry Air Force Base.

Aurora currently does not have large business districts as it is mainly a residential community. But two decades ago, it was once the fastest developing cities in the country. If you want easy access to several important Interstates and efficient bus and train networks, then Aurora is a great place for you. Before 1995, Denver's main airport, Stapleton International, was located in Aurora. Now, even with Denver International Airport, which is one of the Top 12 busiest airports in the world, the city still offers a more convenient passageway to and from Colorado's main gateway. Because of its strategic location, Aurora is expected to be one of the biggest growth corridors in Colorado in the years to come, not just in the projected number of residents but in terms of business and economy as well. This gives a positive outlook for future values of real estate in Aurora
